v3.0 Firmware Available Now

October 28, 2008

Our downloads page has standard, and Ethernet enabled builds for the Tahoe Dev Kit.
To use this firmware, you will need the latest Microsoft SDK.

Some requested fetures have not made it into this release, and we are looking to finish these off and include them in a new release in the next few weeks.  We rely on your feedback to schedule what goes into the release, so please let us know what you would like to see.

We are also working on a Board Support Package (BSP) so that (as long as you buy the porting kit) you can create your own build of firmware and use features such as interop.  We will post more about this in the coming weeks.

Announcing the Tahoe-II Development Kit!

October 17, 2008

We are very pleased to announce that we have a new dev kit coming in a few weeks time!

The Tahoe-II is a sequel to the very popular original kit.  It retains the Meridian CPU at the core, and still includes lots of way to prototype new devices.  There is of course, lots of new stuff on board too!  This version has a larger LCD screen (3.5″ with touch!), along with Ethernet and an Accelerometer on-board.  Other features include an SD card slot for memory cards and a socket for an XBee wireless module.  The product page has more details.

Expect to see this kit available at our distributors from early November.
If you live outside areas covered by our distributors, you can pre-order from our web shop now!
And the price – US$399.  Same as the original Tahoe!

New firmware coming soon…

October 8, 2008

As you have probably heard by now, Microsoft has made a new version of the .NET Micro Framework 3.0 SDK available on the Connect web site.  Among the new features is support for the FREE Express Edition of Visual C# 2008!

To use this new release on Tahoe, you will need new firmware from us.  We are working hard to bring this to you ASAP and will post again when it’s ready to go!
